The Leasing Consultant is responsible for every phase of the leasing/occupancy process, including maintaining exceptional customer service with prospects and residents, marketing the property to meet occupancy goals, reviewing certifications and re-certifications, and reporting.

Pay: $21-23/hour, dependent on experience.

Duties

  • Prepare for guests (ensure office and show units presentable).
  • Prepare materials before the office opens.
  • Serve residents by writing service requests, completing service call backs, and following through on special requests.
  • Design campaigns to generate activity, cold call businesses to get leads, and decorate units to become show units.
  • Attend social events and represent the property in a way that brings credibility to the site and staff.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in customer service, sales, or related field required; one year in a leasing position preferred.
  • Sales experience with a proven track record.
  • One (1) year of experience in affordable housing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • College or real estate-related supplemental courses.
  • Occupancy certification.
  • Excellent understanding of the occupancy standards and processes.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Operate required technological systems that run the property, including multiple incoming phone lines.
  • Stamina for fast paced working environment.
