Operations Manager

Guesthop is a hospitality and short term - mid term rental property management company in the San Francisco Bay area focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences while maximizing performance for property owners.
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across a portfolio of furnished rental properties.
This role requires someone who can think critically, solve problems independently, manage multiple moving parts simultaneously, and maintain high operational standards in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, detail-oriented, responsive, and takes ownership without needing constant direction.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations across a portfolio of short-term and mid-term rental properties
Manage guest communication and ensure fast, professional responses across booking channels
Coordinate cleaners, maintenance vendors, property visits, and operational schedules
Ensure turnovers, check-ins, and property readiness are completed on time
Handle guest issues, maintenance coordination, and operational emergencies
Monitor listing performance, occupancy, and booking quality
Maintain strong communication with property owners regarding important issues or property needs
Coordinate guest claims, reimbursements, and issue resolution when necessary
Ensure operational systems, reservations, and payouts remain accurate and organized
Support continuous improvement of operational processes and guest experience

Ideal Candidate:

Extremely organized and detail-oriented
Must live in the SF Bay area and have own reliable transportation (not public transportation). Must be able to occasionally deliver supplies to properties
Strong written communication skills
Management experience is a must, able to manage a small team efficiently
Comfortable making decisions independently
Hospitality, operations, customer service, or property management experience preferred
Tech-comfortable and able to learn systems quickly
Reliable, responsive, and highly accountable
Professional under pressure and solution-oriented
