Commercial Appraiser Needed
Valbridge Property Advisors | Utah is growing, and we have immediate openings for varying experience levels for commercial appraisers. The ideal candidates will need to be self-motivated with experience appraising a variety of commercial properties including, but not limited to, office, industrial, retail, multi-family, and vacant land. An appraisal license (trainee, licensed or certified) is required as you will be assisting in report analysis and writing.
In Utah we have offices in Salt Lake County, Utah County and St. George. The right candidate will have the convenience to work from our Salt Lake or Utah County office.
Responsibilities
Conduct formal appraisals of real property or land for a variety of clients including lenders, attorneys, municipalities, and individual owners.
Provide an unbiased, comprehensive, and professional opinion of market value.
Examine all variables that impact the property's value, including but not limited to, property history, neighborhood, sales data, and comparable sales.
Comply with USPAP and keep informed of all current regulations, standards, and best practices.
Hold an appraisal license (trainee, licensed or certified) and be in good standing.
Strong analytical and research skills
Knowledge and experience searching online to obtain market data for comparative analysis
MS Office skills, preferably advanced knowledge of Excel and Word
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Knowledge of financial math
Utilization of technology
Ability to communicate well with clients and coworkers, both written and orally
Ability to self-start
Ability to work independently
Ability to multi-task
Ability to solve problems
Possess sound judgement, excellent time management and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
Professional, positive, and respectful attitude with clients, property owners, property contacts and co-workers.
Salary, Status & Benefits
We offer a competitive commission split with bonus potential. This position is full-time.
