OPERATIONS MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY:

The Operations Manager is responsible for partnering with the plant leadership team a to ensure that all operations-related policies and processes are properly executed and adhered to at their facility and be responsible for analyze and improve operational processes to facilitate productivity, efficiency, safety and quality. The Operations Manager should be dedicated to creating a safe environment where team members understand and observe Android's values.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee all operational launch activitiesCultivate culture, encourage, quality, safety, and growth opportunitiesCoordinate and design of plant production areaLead by example: on the floor, coaching, mentoringEnsure the teams have the tools to perform their jobsOversight of manufacturing assembly operationAchieving Daily production requirement sequencing, delivery, and quality for the entire plant, Directs, guides & motivates to reach plant goals and objectivesLead and develop shift managersBuild and manage relationshipsOversight of team member on the Job TrainingManage overtime within budgetSupport and lead projectsCollaborate with other departmentsAdhere to Quality philosophies and policiesFostering a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement, ensuring team member retentionCoordinate activities and communication opportunities to build and maintain team member moraleMaintain communication flow regarding pertinent information such as company announcements and policy changesCommunicate across all departments to ensure targets are on scheduleEnsure compliance to the development plans, for example training plans and performance reviewsAssess the team members' strengths and weaknesses, understand the skills gaps, and recommend learning and growth opportunitiesCreate and facilitate trainings and materials, coach and collaborate with other content creatorsAudits/CASDrive action to improve KPI/metricsActively participate in Kata, CAS, CI initiatives and daily 5S activitiesActively pursue growth opportunitiesActively pursue line balancing to improve work flowOEE/FTTQDrive safety cultureParticipate in incident investigations and ensure proper incident/ injury reportingHold others accountable to following safety systemsPromote Safety as a personal valueComply with all national, local, and Company policies and regulationsEncourage preventative behaviors and manage risk avoidance through training, communication, and other measuresAdhere to process audits, system performance/complianceUpdate and track KPI's, implementing countermeasures as requiredAssist with audit processes to identify gaps in policies and procedures and implement corrective actions for any nonconformitiesPrepare and ensure consistency of information and reports (including government required)When applicable, attend unemployment hearings/labor hearings, etc.Ensure proper records and documentationBudget management and time and attendanceAll other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree minimum8+ years' experience in a manufacturing environmentPrior management experience preferred

Demonstrate strong leadership skills to diagnose problems and make decisionsDemonstrated use of data-based decision making and problem solving (PDCA, Pareto Charts, 8Ds, 5 Why, Budget, Forecast, Key Performance Indicators)Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize work activities and to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneouslyMust be able to function well in a team environmentDemonstrated coaching and mentoring skillsAbility to build positive relationshipsUnderstanding of operations principlesStrong negotiation, influencing, and conflict resolution skillsExcellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organizationComputer literacy to include Windows applications and Microsoft Office SuiteFamiliarity with operation technological tools
