Job Title: Loan Servicing Escrow Specialist

Department: Loan Servicing

Reports to: Director of Loan Servicing Operations

Location: Onsite (Berea, KY)

Job Summary:

The Loan Servicing Escrow Specialist is responsible for the high-level oversight and administration of escrow accounts and loan servicing activities. This role ensures the accurate management of borrower payments, escrow balances, and compliance with investor and regulatory requirements. The position supports the full lifecycle of loan servicing, including escrow, PMI, and lender-placed insurance (LPI), while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee escrow account administration, including tax and insurance disbursements and refunds.

Manage PMI lifecycle, including activation, monitoring, cancellation, and compliance.

Administer LPI lifecycle, including placement, tracking, and cancellation.

Ensure accurate posting and reconciliation of borrower payments.

Support loan servicing activities across the full loan lifecycle, including onboarding and payoff.

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and investor guidelines.

Coordinate with legal counsel and third-party vendors as needed.

Provide high-level support to borrowers for complex account inquiries.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required, associate or bachelor's degree preferred

Required Experience:

1-2 years' experience in the Customer Service field.

Preferred Experience:

1-2 years' experience in the Escrow Management field.

1-3 years' experience in the Mortgage Loan Servicing field.

Knowledge of mortgage loan documents and processes

Experience with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac servicing guidelines.

Skills:

Critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build rapport and professional relationships with borrowers.

Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and implement new tasks and processes.

Proficiency in research and data analysis.

A solid background in lending, accounting, and finance practices.

Adaptability, teamwork, and the ability to exercise initiative and leadership.

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.

Ability to lift to 15 pounds occasionally.

Ability to access and navigate organizational facilities as needed.
