LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE MANAGER

THE OPPORTUNITY:

BOTANICA DESIGN is a leading boutique landscape firm located in Vancouver.
As designers, builders and gardeners, we bring projects to life from design concept to completion, continuing that vision with an incredible team of gardeners. Our approach allows us to create exceptional spaces and build careers as we go! We are a young, dynamic and energetic group of individuals looking for a hands on leader to oversee our maintenance division. You will be the bridge between the design vision of our company, our clients and our crew on the ground. You will be out in the field ensuring quality, mentoring staff, and driving the growth of our maintenance portfolio. This is a full time position from Monday - Friday, forty hours per week.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Operations: Create weekly schedules, manage equipment inventory, and coordinate materials for multiple crews
Quality Control: Perform site walk throughs to ensure horticultural standards are exceeded
Client Success: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and identifying opportunities for site enhancements/upgrades
Team Leadership: Hire, train, and mentor crew members; lead safety meetings and performance reviews
Estimating: Assist in budgeting new maintenance contracts and small enhancement projects

WHAT YOU BRING:
Experience: 3+ years in a supervisory or management role within the landscaping industry
Technical Savvy: Strong knowledge of local plants, pruning techniques, irrigation systems, and turf care
License: A valid drivers license with a clean abstract
Certifications: Certificate/Diploma in Horticulture, Red Seal, ISA Arborist / these are a bonus but not required
Software: Proficiency in applications and software for scheduling and reporting
Soft Skills: Strong problem solving, customer service, and organizational skills
Exceptional professionalism, punctuality and organization
