A growing and well-established civil engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team in Waldorf, Maryland. This is a key leadership role focused on managing a diverse portfolio of land development projects while supporting team growth and client relationships. The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of project delivery, mentor engineering staff, and contribute directly to the continued expansion of the business. The role As a Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of civil site land development projects from concept through completion. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard, while maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal teams. Key responsibilities * Manage a portfolio of civil site land development projects * Maintain and develop strong client relationships * Prepare proposals for new and existing clients * Oversee project schedules, budgets, invoicing, and financial performance * Provide technical guidance and expertise to support project delivery * Represent clients at key project milestones, including public presentations and hearings * Support business development and marketing initiatives * Lead, mentor, and develop engineering and design staff * Ensure quality control across all design work * Manage team workload and resource planning * Provide performance feedback and support staff development * Collaborate with senior leadership to achieve company goals Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering * Professional Engineer licence in Maryland required * 10 to 12 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on land development * At least 5 years of experience managing land development design projects * At least 5 years of experience leading and managing engineering teams * Experience working on projects in Southern Maryland is preferred * Strong organisational and delegation skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships Why apply * Join a growing consultancy with a strong presence in the local market * Take on a leadership role with real influence across projects and team development * Work on a variety of land development projects * Play a key role in shaping client relationships and supporting business growth Interested If you are an experienced Project Manager looking for your next opportunity, apply now or reach out for a confidential discussion.
