Building Managers are responsible for the oversight of the day-to-day operations of the Hamel Recreation Center. Responsibilities include but are not limited to opening and closing the facility on time each day, supervision of Welcome Center and Fitness Assistant staff members, assist in the education and sales of memberships, promote Campus Recreation programming, ensuring building and programmatic policies are enforced and respected while ensuring a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone who visits the facility. Duties/Responsibilities
Customer Service
Ensure welcoming and secure environment for patrons
Answer questions and respond to patron needs
Sell memberships to Campus Recreation facilities
Risk Management
Manage access into the Hamel Recreation Center
Practice Campus Recreation risk mitigation policies to ensure a safe and clean facility
Requirements
Minimum Acceptable Education & Experience:
One-year post-secondary education 18 years of age
Employment contingent of the successful completion of a background check and the following Campus Recreation provided training:
CPR, First Aid, Blood-Borne Pathogen, Risk Management Training, and PCI Knowledge,
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Familiarity with risk management procedures, with the ability to respond effectively to routine and emergency situations
Ability to operate and communicate effectively within a team structure
Capacity for strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications :
Customer service experience & CPR and First Aid
Compensation Pay Range:
$16 per hour
