Construction Litigation/ Real Estate Associate

We are seeking an Associate (1-2 years of experience) to join our Construction Litigation and Real Estate practice in either our Lake Success or Brooklyn office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to gain hands-on experience working closely with experienced practitioners on a broad range of construction and real estate disputes, as well as transactional matters.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in all phases of construction litigation, including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation
- Draft and respond to discovery demands, including document requests, interrogatories, and deposition-related materials
- Support attorneys in handling disputes involving construction defects, delays, contract claims, and related matters
- Conduct due diligence, including review of title reports, surveys, and related documents
- Participate in real estate financing transactions representing borrowers and lenders
- Assist in drafting and reviewing construction access agreements and handling matters related to RPAPL 881 proceedings
- Communicate with clients, lenders, title companies, and opposing counsel
- Participate in court appearances, conferences, and mediations as necessary
- Support real estate transactions and related matters as needed
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admission to the New York State Bar (or pending admission)
- 1-2 years of experience in commercial real estate or a related litigation practice
- Strong drafting, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a proactive and collaborative approach
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $100,000 - $120,000, commensurate with experience
