Job Title: Property Appraiser Company: Location: Baltimore, MD Description: Appraisers will be required to appraise property on an as-needed basis. On-call appraisal assignments may include: 1) Residential ? Total take of primary owner/user and rental properties used strictly as residential dwelling in zones. a. Residential family dwellings: e.g. attached, detached, condo, etc. 2) Income Producing Properties ? Total take of multi-family and small commercial properties located in commercial zoning categories. a. Small apartment buildings consisting of 2-4 units, 5-12 units b. Small commercial buildings consisting of 1-12 offices/retail spaces 3) Commercial/Industrial ? Total take of large buildings and sites involving large gross building area and acreages. a. Commercial buildings over 12 units b. Large industrial buildings 4) Special Purpose Commercial/Industrial-Unique Complex a. Partially built building with limited economic value b. Specially build property for industrial use c. Semi-historic commercial property d. Special purpose, historic 5) Right of Way ? Usually partial acquisitions of land for highways, sewer and water lines, storm water management, buffers, etc. It may be fee-simple interests in property a. Drainage and utility easements, temporary construction area, highway-widening area, proximity damages, etc. 6) Vacant Land Parcels ? land (site) parcels of various sizes a. Residential b. Commercial/Industrial Pre-Trial Conferences and Court Witnesses ? Pre-trial preparation and related activities (minimum of 2 hours) and court witnesses (minimum of 4 hours) Special Skills: 1. Candidates must have the ability to furnish the required services described above o Candidates must provide a brief outline of the approaches and techniques to be taken in performing the services described in the scope of work (above) o One (1) example of a completed report must be submitted for each category you propose 2. Candidates must include a copy of renewed real estate appraiser license/certification and list of recently completed/continuing education seminars/courses 3.
