Summary Job Purpose, Duties & Responsibilities
Your career will begin as a 100% commission leasing agent for a 250+ unit department. This indicates that 20+ properties per month will need to be rented ? so you are expected to sign 4 leases a week (less than one a day) from a steady stream of prospects. Consider the local market where an average rental home is $800 a month ? you will earn 20-25% of the rent ($200) for every successful placement. That is $800 a week with a few expenses for use of your auto and cell phone.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Leasing
1. Install Signs and Lockboxes
2. Photograph, Measure and Define Unit Listing Profile
3. Answer all Telephone Prospect Inquiries.
4. Tour prospects through units for lease.
5. Answer all phone calls and give out rental information as dictated by policy/procedure
6. Track how prospects are hearing about us and follow up after they have visited our property
7. Shop competition through phone calls and visits on a regular basis
8. Learn to develop professional sales techniques.
9. Communicate to prospects in person, over the telephone and/or in writing the size and layout of rooms, available facilities, such as swimming pool and saunas, location of shopping centers, services available, and terms of lease.
10. Assist with the composition of newspaper advertisements.
11. Compile and update listings of available rental units.

Public Relations & Communications
